Dr. Myers obtained his doctorate from the Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his surgical residency at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and then a minimally invasive surgical fellowship (advanced laparoscopy) at the Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon.


His expertise in laparoscopic advancements places Surgery South at the forefront of technological breakthroughs in general surgery. Dr. Myers is certified by the American Board of Surgery, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. His areas of special interest include advanced laparoscopic surgery to treat problems of the stomach and esophagus (especially acid reflux disease), adrenal glands, spleen, and colon. He performs laparoscopic hernia repairs and gall bladder procedures in addition to thoracoscopic evaluation and treatment of lung disease and masses.


Brian is retired from the Navy Medical Corp and raises German shepherds between his landscaping projects or cheering on his Ohio State Buckeyes.
